Sepak Takraw League (STL) returns for action in 2024! Born and bred in Malaysia, STL holds a unique place in the hearts of Malaysians, hailing a strong fanbase among the local grassroot Malays.
The recent 2024 Sepak Takraw World Cup achieved an unprecedented viewership with peak ratings of 586K, reaching more than 3.5 Mil Live viewers – surpassing all other sports in May 2024! The final match between Malaysia and Thailand alone garnered has 2.1 Mil Live viewers.
There will be 3 tournaments featured across the course of 3 months (4 September – 16 November 2024), held across 6 states in Malaysia.
STL Division 1
- 10 clubs (divided into 2 groups) competing for Champion title for Division 1, where the semi-finalists will promote to Premier division of the current season. Total 24 matches will be played across 1 week.
STL Premier League
- 12 clubs will be drawn into 4 groups of 3 teams each. The top 2 clubs from the group will move on to the quarterfinals and so forth. Each club will earn GP points based on their finishing position, which will contribute to the STL Grand Champions, with the top 4 clubs also qualifying for the STL Champions Cup at the end of the season. Total 100 matches will be played across 5 weeks.
STL Champion Cup
- Featuring 5 teams from the Premier League and 5 teams from the International Teams, there will be a total of 24 matches played across 1 week.
