The Lee Chong Wei Cup is a national youth badminton development tournament founded by Malaysian badminton legend Lee Chong Wei, structured across U13, U15, and U17 categories.

It brings together emerging players in a competitive format featuring singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events, designed to provide a structured pathway for youth development through official tournament play.

The event aims to:

  • Inspire young Malaysians to pursue excellence in badminton and life through sport.
  • Provide equal opportunity and access to competitive badminton for youth from all backgrounds and regions cross Malaysia.
  • Promote inclusion in sport by encouraging participation from underserved communities.
  • Foster racial unity and social cohesion by bringing together youth of all ethnicities and backgrounds through a shared love for badminton.
  • Create a structured platform for talent development & identification that feeds into national and international badminton pipelines. Promoting discipline, teamwork and healthy living among Malaysian youth.
