Astro Vinmeen introduces Sanjigai, a brand-new magazine show that dives into the pulse of the Malaysian Indian community. Packed with real stories, vibrant culture and on-ground happenings, it’s set to capture younger, trend-conscious audiences while staying true to community roots.

Each episode packs variety across 4 dynamic segments:

  • Week-Le Peak – Trending topics that garner public interest such as success stories, sports, entertainment, theatrical releases, Kollywood updates, and more.
  • Star-Eh-Yaaru – Interviews with popular local and international celebrities.
  • Ithu Nambe Kathe – Unique stories, culture, tradition as well as the heritage of our very own Malaysia.
  • Yaathum Oore – Current happenings and events from cultural festivals to food fairs, creative workshops, dance shows, and more.

Adding a true community flavour, Malaysians are also invited to submit their own events three months in advance for a chance to be featured via Astro Ulagam website, adding authenticity and community participation.

Fronting Sanjigai are two new hosts making their television debut – Tivagaran and Shantene Subramaniam – who bring youthful energy, relatability and a fresh perspective that connects with today’s audiences.

  • Tivagaran – a dancer-turned-actor and content creator with 24.7K IG followers, recently won the Popular Entertainment Icon award at PHMM-MK Icon Awards 2025.
  • Shantene – a seasoned bilingual emcee, is celebrated for her confident Tamil and English hosting across major events.
