TVB’s D.I.D. 12 刑侦12 is what happens when you hand two top-tier actors a script that’s more brain-bending than binge-worthy.

Bowie Lam 林保怡 returns after 13 years, not with fanfare, but with a role crafted for him like a well-cut suit. Quiet. Dangerous. Full of secrets.

Then there’s Owen Cheung 張振朗, pulling off a triple performance as one man with three identities. It’s not just “good vs evil”, it’s a psychological turf war happening inside one very confused and very compelling character.

There’s style. There’s suspense. There’s enough weirdness to keep your theories running wild. And the best part? It’s shot like a film, not your standard soap.

Synopsis:

Meet Ken Hing (Owen Cheung), a brilliant but unpredictable detective with Dissociative Identity Disorder, his fractured psyche split into three distinct personas, each with their own desires, skills and secrets. When Ken and his cunning alter ego “Ah Hin” join forces to track a chilling series of ritualistic murders, they are drawn into the orbit of chief inspector Ding Lok-Fung (Bowie Lam) and Ken’s estranged rival, criminal psychologist Dr. Zoey Yeung (Kelly Fu). As bodies pile up, the trio uncovers a shocking truth: the killer is not one person, but an organized cult of executioners following a dark manifesto from a mysterious website promoting the “New Seven Deadly Sins” – bullying, drug trafficking, animal cruelty, corporate monopoly, environmental destruction, child abuse and injustice. Each victim is brutally punished for their sins and no one in society is safe. But justice has a price. Ken is haunted by a traumatic past threatening to shatter his fragile balance. Zoey’s investigation pulls her into a personal nightmare when her beloved mentor (Raymond Cho) is implicated. And Ding discovers that his sister (Monica Chan), freshly returned from abroad, harbors a devastating secret that could tear his world apart.

Can Ken face both the killers in the streets and the demons in his own mind, before it’s too late?
